I’m Alpha, a b-boy, filmmaker and independent creator based in Barcelona.

I started breaking in 2008, and Hip-Hop became a way of understanding culture, movement, music and community. Through the years, travelling, dancing and meeting people from different places shaped the way I see the world.

Photography and video came later. What started as a way to document movement became a way to observe people, preserve experiences and tell stories from different perspectives.

Today, I work through Alphabcz, an evolving creative and cultural project exploring people, communities, disciplines and ideas that deserve to be documented.

Breaking is where I come from, but the work goes beyond it. Boxing, music, graffiti, education, food, nightlife and other forms of culture can all become part of the journey.

I’m interested in what happens behind the obvious: the people who keep showing up, the knowledge that gets passed on, the communities that continue to build, and the stories that might otherwise disappear.

I’m still learning, still creating and still figuring things out.

The camera is simply one of the tools I use to keep moving.
