BK 10 — Show Up Consistently
Phase 1 — Foundations of Breaking
Talent can create potential, but consistency transforms that potential into real ability. Breaking develops through repeated time with the music, your body, other dancers, and the parts of your practice you have not mastered yet.
Showing up does not mean training at maximum intensity every day. Sustainable consistency also includes rest, recovery, reflection, and adapting your practice to your circumstances. What matters is maintaining a relationship with your development, even when motivation changes or progress feels slow.
Consistency also builds reputation and trust. When you train regularly, support events, participate in your scene, and keep your commitments, people learn that they can depend on your presence. A powerful moment may attract attention, but repeated action creates lasting growth.
Reflection: Are you building a consistent presence—or appearing only when the moment feels right?
